Cool in the Pool was presented at the Deutsche Goldschmiedehaus Hanau following Silvia Weidenbach's appointment as the 8th Hanauer Stadtgoldschmiedin (City Goldsmith of Hanau) in 2019.
The exhibition brought together a selection of works spanning different stages of her practice, highlighting her ongoing exploration of the relationship between traditional goldsmithing, digital technologies, and experimental materials. Combining handcrafted techniques with processes such as 3D printing and virtual reality, the works explored how emerging technologies can expand the language of contemporary jewellery while reinterpreting established craft traditions.
