Hyperlink
(2020)
Hyperlink explores a new relationship between form, function, and digital fabrication. Created through metal laser sintering from PlatinGold alloy in collaboration with C. Hafner, the cufflinks are developed through a continuous digital process in which the object and its mechanism are conceived as an integrated whole.
The clasp and moving elements are not added as separate components but embedded within the digital design itself. The functional system becomes inseparable from the sculptural form, allowing complex structures to be realised within a single manufacturing process.
Beyond the object itself, Hyperlink investigates new models of jewellery production: on-demand manufacturing that enables flexible variations and small series without the need for traditional jewellery joining processes. The project extends my signature approach of combining fluid, nature-inspired forms with engineered systems, where the mechanism becomes an essential part of the aesthetic expression.
